The Walk
- Arrive any time between 11a.m. and 4 p.m.
- There’s plenty of parking space, but it’s off-road
- Be prepared for rough ground and perhaps mud as well
- Set off on your walk at your own pace. The route is through rolling Berkshire countryside and woodland and will be clearly marked. The shorter walk is 1 mile.
- Children are welcome, and well-behaved dogs too.
- Child buggies need to be robust
- The route passes through woodland which is carpeted with bluebells in spring. They should be at their best around the time of the walk.
- There’s a teddy bear hunt for the children………..
- Fortify yourself with a burger or hot dog
- Enjoy a pint at the bar set up by the Queen’s Arms
- And there will be an ice cream van too
- Transport can be arranged to the bluebell wood for anyone unable to walk. Please ask.
- After the walk enjoy tea with cakes from the stall run by All Saints Church, East Garston
- Adult walkers £10. No entry fee for children. A charge will be made for the teddy bear hunt, BBQ, tea and refreshments with surplus proceeds going to the charities.
